A very versatile freeride ski with a length of 110 mm under the boot and a rocker in the tip, it is designed both for powder and on ski slopes. However, you will enjoy this ski the most in big mountains where there is a mix of powder snow, which is in some spots blown out to the ice level, and icy crusts, but they will also easily handle the firn snow in spring.
The LUSTi Tour Race are not classic touring skis, but they are mainly ultralight downhill skis which will help you be the first person to reach the summit, while bringing you a perfect riding experience, whether you are skiing down a groomed slope or descending a steep glen. The LUSTi Tour Race are skis that will turn you into a star, whether you want to triumph in ski touring races or scale the peaks from the Krkonoše mountains, through the Alps to the Himalayas.
Thanks to its design and parameters, this very versatile ski is suitable for almost all types of snow
(in our opinion, except for icy black runs, where the ride was a bit unpleasant due to the ski’s large
width). The hardness of the wooden core is the same as for the skis of the CWR 84 category, but in terms
of composition the CWR+ 91 differs in that it contains only one Titanal sheet. In addition, this ski has
a big rocker (reverse camber) in the tip, which makes it easier to initiate a turn, to enter uneven terrain
sections when skiing on a slope or to move into powder snow in off-piste terrain.
How they ride:
“I have tested this ski on the ski slope, on all possible types of surfaces and it is really incredible what this ski is capable of. While it is true that on a hard and frozen slope the ride was obviously nothing to write home about, once the on-piste snow had slightly melted or once I had entered a section with natural snow, the ride would become totally perfect. Even with these lengths and with a width under the boot of 91 mm, the ski is very playful, dynamic and agile. Once the slope had been completely chopped up and big bumps had emerged, I finally appreciated the ski’s width and the big rocker in the tip. The skis were like an unstoppable train, I didn’t feel absolutely any unevenness on the ski slope and it felt like I was riding a perfectly groomed piste.” (Radka Luštincová (1990), CWR+91 173 cm)
A typical downhill crossover with a width of 74 mm under the boot. Although this ski is not too wide, it can successfully cope even with mushy snow and will make the user happy especially at medium and higher speeds.
A fine-tuned slalom race ski for experienced skiers and selected racing disciplines. It excels at aggressive,
short and quickly following turns, mainly on groomed slopes.
Top quality materials and sandwich construction with two Titanal sheets guarantee excellent longitudinal and torsional flex for a dynamic and uncompromisingly stable ride even on a frozen surface. This ski can reward the rider for active steering with great edge grip and perfectly made turns, which makes it an ideal choice for excellent skiers, experts and amateur racers.
The RC SL is not very suitable for off-piste skiing. A more powerful alternative to this ski is the FR SL, a special race ski for professionals.
How they ride:
“I enjoyed this ski most in the morning, when I was the first person on the ski slope, which was still hard and groomed. The ski holds up great, wherever I look it will go, it’s amazingly playful. Compared to the FR SL, I didn’t have to work so hard on these skis and I actually had some fun, even though the snow on the slope had slightly melted.” (Radka Luštincová (1990), RC SL 155 cm)
“A fabulous sporty slalom ski! It beautifully handles both short and medium turns. It absolutely loves riding on the edge and it won’t prepare any unpleasant surprise to its "master". Even at high speeds, the ski is very stable and if it is correctly sharpened, it will handle skidded turns without any problem.
Thanks to the expansion of the ski from the original 65 to 68 mm, it no longer excels on a hard piste only, but it can also make full use of its positive characteristics on a soft surface. It is beautifully manoeuvrable and if it is pushed hard, it will also show you its aggressive side. I would recommend this slalom ski to more aggressive-minded (ambitious) skiers who, among other, like to have a fight with the ski slope.” (Petr Konečný, SNOW FOR FUN, RC SL 165 cm)
“I love this ski (it doesn’t matter if it is 5 cm shorter or longer) – it holds up beautifully on the edge, it is accurate in turns, it’s very fast on edge change and, on top of that (as opposed to a FIS slalom ski), I can do this without any problem all day long. And the next day again, etc. It’s an ideal ski – it won’t wear you down and it won’t stop being entertaining.” (Standa Plecitý (1956), CK Růžový Panter, RC SL 160 cm)
